A MAD BRIDE-2-BE
06-17-2005, 03:30 PM
I just got married May 28, 2005. Out of all the problems i was going through before the wedding, my bridesmaid, step-mother, everybody did their part. Everybody was perfect, they all ***e togather at the end. My one concern on my wedding day was not having the wedding late and what happened the wedding was late, but not because of the bridesmaid, groom it was because of me the bride. I fell in the shower 2 hours before the wedding started. So the beautician had to come to the church and do my hair all over again. after she did my hair i was about to put my gown on and i realize i forgot to get my make-up done, so the make up artist also had to come to the church and put my make up on. But once it was all done i was soooooooo satisfied. we had a nice turn out the food was good, no the food was wonderful. the dessert table was nice everything was so nice and everybody ask me if i had to do it all over would I and my response will always be the same You bet I will.
By formely known as a mad bride to be now i'm a happy bride.

I was at a bookstore the other day and decided even though I'm completely broke, the best investment I could make at this point is to buy the Worst Case Scenario for Weddings, since everything in planning is going horribly and pretty much every big event for us for the past 5 years or so has been a disaster. I made a comment to the cashier about it and she said that the 4 months before her wedding were the worst in her entire life... but the wedding and everything since has been wonderful.
I guess that's the little bit of encouragement I'm holding on to while I'm trying to pull everything together these next couple weeks.

That is such a great book! We bought that for my sister in law for her wedding and read some of the "examples" at the bridal luncheon - we laughed and commented about it, then we went over it again after the wedding when we were helping her do her thank you cards - oh it was hilarious! We could have added a few things in there! And some of the ones we were laughing at before the wedding, we realized they actually happened but we were able to thwart their effects because of the book :)

Congrats on becoming a Mrs. :) That is such good news and since you have told me your worst nightmare coming true, I am hoping that the clutz that I am does nothing that day, unless FH is there to catch me... ;)

I'm not a Mrs. yet - :) Not until November - but I've had enough wedding nightmare experiences to douse that I'm getting pretty good at it! :)
