Can roses be used as a theme for a wedding? It sounded nice to me, but what other things can I do to keep with the theme without having to buy a zillion roses?
Any ideas?
(and yes, I've found rose invitations  )

of course it can be used as a theme ;) You might want to look at making decorations that look like roses - this may sound silly but contact some bartenders at local swanky bars - see if they can show you how to make paper roses out of napkins - they look really beautiful. I learned how to make these and I'm actually considering using them :)
You can also use rose- shaped candles (floating or otherwise)....
I think there's a way to make rose decorations out of ribbon as well - I'll see what I can find.

My mind isn't where it should be - in fact, I don't really know where its at. I've been out of town for the past few days and the people at my home office in St. Louis incorporated a mini bachellorette party into the "business trip" :P

Awesome ideas as always, Reecey!

Roses would be a great theme... I'd recommend using silk roses, for decoration as well (especially things that people aren't going to get too close to, like the altar flowers) to help cut the cost.. maybe put some real and some fake flowers; you can probably even find a rose-scented perfume or something to spray on them too!

LOL Cashy! I think you are like my long lost twin or something! Both have family issues, want Maggie dresses, and I am using roses as my theme too! I will try to post some of the pictures that I'm doing. I'm using red. Basically roses for bouquets, invitations, centerpieces, a few on the cake, and petals scattered everywhere. I also found a picture of red and white roses that I love! Now I just have to figure out where to find these.

I LOVE 2-tone roses! We had some in my backyard when I was little... They are the ones that officially mean love too.
