Does anyone know where I might be able to find an Irish/Celtic cake design? I have found the most perfect cake topper, it has the Trinity Knot so I would like an Irish theme.
I have an idea in mind but I'm afraid it may be too "busy". Here's what I picture:
3 tiers
1) cake topper and perhaps some piped ivy
2) Claddagh motif (hands holding a crowned heart for the unfamiliar)
3) the words "Love loyalty and friendship piped around the diameter
Does this sound nuts? Does anyone have any suggestions?? I need some help pulling this theme together.

I LOVE your idea!! I don't think it will be too busy at all and it works so perfectly together! If you really feel it is too much , i would eliminate the ivy....just my opinion though. If you get this done, you HAVE to post a pic afterwards!

I think that's a great idea. My fiancee is doing the same thing. We are having a few details of our wedding with Irish and Scottish themes because our ancestry is similar. I think my fiancee is actually getting the cake designed with a Celtic knot in the icing. Also, there are multiple Web sites where you can purchase or view different styles of Irish cake toppers and many, many wedding/Irish items. I think many cake designers may have basic designs for you to look at, or they may need to do something customized for your wishes. Either way, it would be great.

Thanks for the help, friends!! That has been the hardest thing for me to decide on so far. We are of Jewish/Irish heritage so we've tried to incorporate both right down to our rings.
His has "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" in Hebrew and mine will read the same in Gaelic.

Your idea sounds great! Some cake designers will be able to take your description and pull it all together. Have you tried describing what you envision to someone to see what they suggest? Good luck!
