Hello, I was just wondering what everyone is getting as a limo and how much they are paying and what comes with it....like champagne, decorating that kind of thing. Also how many hours you have it for. I booked one yesterday that I thought was good and so did my FH ,but his parents do not think that is a good idea :( and they will not pay for it. So I was wondering what everyone else had. Thank you!

Sorry, I have no info on this. My FH is an EMT and our getaway car will be an ambulance. :p

We are (maybe) getting a 16 passanger Lincoln Navigator Limo. We have it for 3 hours, start time is when they get to the church, which is good because that gives us an extra 45 min both ways. We get a driver dressed in a full tuxedo, 2 bottles of champagne, red carpet rolled out for us at church and reception, decorated, and 2 champagne glasses with our names and the date on it for $700. That includes tax and the drivers tip. I thought that was good because if we would have gotten two cars it would have been $500 with out tax and tip and we didn't get as much stuff either. Do you guys think that is good. (The limo place is out of Rockford, IL)

Dear that is a great deal! I got my husband a 20 person stretched hummer for his bachelor party for 6 hours and it cost about $2000.00... well worth the price though.

I wanted a limo, but I just can't see spending the money when I live about a 1/4 mile from the wedding/reception site. And we don't have our room for the night of the wedding booked yet, but all of the hotels we are considering are less than 5 miles from the site. And, on top of that, the airport is between where I live and all of the hotels. So I just can't justify spending a few hundred $ for such a short drive.

consider askeing a friend who has a really nice car? i agree limos are expensive, and if you dont really need it save the cash and buy me a great wedding gift.. oops i mean use it on your honeymoon :p

My FH and I both have really nice cars...but we don't want them anywhere near the reception. We are both extremely protective of our cars, and yet we have friends who would be stupid enough to do something to them, even knowing how we feel about it. So we will most likely drive ourselves to the hotel in our blazer. I'm not so worried about that getting decorated.

We are getting married right out side the cities in MN. We rented a Hummer limo for 3 hours for between the ceremony and reception, they will be decorating the limo, rolling out red carpet and if it rains (knocks on wood) they will hold an umbrella... My FH paid 950.00 for the limo, but he got a 300.00 discount from his work ;)

Just an update..we are getting the limo :D because my parents are paying for it. After reading everyones posts I thought it was not that outrageous. My mom told me that I have tried to cut costs on everything that we have done so far, and that you need to splurge on something. Thanks for all your posts!

I wanted to rent a new bentley but the only locations they ***e from wouldn't drive as far as we needed them to. We are traveling from NJ to PA on our wedding night. So we opted for a rolls royce.

Oh my gosh... I think I'm going to faint.
I can't imagine spending so much on a limo. They are only about $100 an hour where I live. :)
And that's the works... red carpet is rolled out, champagne, the limo's interior decorated in your wedding colors, etc.

Good for you!

We're not doing the limo thing... basically because the ceremony and reception are in the same orchard (we're having a tractor ride for guests). My mom's boyfriend collects classic Fords, so we were planning on seeing if he had a cool car we could borrow (I'm pretty sure he has a white convertable). But... since the wedding's in less than a month and we haven't really done anything about it, we'll probably just end up using our CR-V... I'm thinking my fun will be not bothering to change out of the wedding dress and showing up at the hotel all decked out and crumpled.

We're basically cutting costs everywhere, but every once in a while, I think how cool it would be to get a limo to bring us the 30 min. back to our hotel that night. It just doesn't seem right that at 25 I'll have been to 2 proms and multiple weddings, including my own, and the only time I've ever ridden in a limo was at my grandfather's funeral.

I think that is such a neat idea....the whole tractor thing. Makes it original! :D

Thank you! We were really concerned about some of the older guests trying to hike through the orchard... it's not that far, but the ground isn't the smoothest. The tractor was my Great Aunt's idea (my Great Uncle and her own the farm and he's a JOP performing the ceremony). They have a big apple harvest festival every fall and have a lot of school kids that visit, so the tractor, although seemingly kind of unique, is something they're very used to doing.

My favorite part is it carries about 25 people per trip, so we can get all the guests out of the rose garden pretty quickly so they're not standing around making me nervous during the pictures (I HATE having my picture taken)!

you can call the local limo services and some have specials just for weddings. Also if you look in the yellow pages etc. some will have web sites and they are very helpfull.
