My fiance has rented a plaza in Italy, but I'm also considering other destinations. Do you think I should have a more traditional church wedding...a vegas wedding...wedding in london..........please give me your opinion.

You should have the wedding that you want. There is nothing wrong with not getting married in a church. My wedding is going to be outside and my Grandfather is marrying us. So you should choose a place that you are happy with and will remember for the rest of your life.

You should consider places that really make you happy, and what's important to you. I love love love the ocean, so I got married on the beach in Hawaii, and it was perfect for me.

If you like history and culture, Italy would be pretty, but you've got to also consider how many guests are going to be able to come. Only my immediate family and a few aunties were able to make it.

If that's not important to you, then by all means, go where you want. Another thing to consider is how original you want to be, or if there are coordinators available at your destination. You're going to want to hire someone if you're not familiar with the location and the vendors. Just my advice... :)

I've lived in Hawaii for 5 years, and I love it here. I know alot of great vendors for food, location, flowers, etc... I specialize in unique weddings- for non-conforming romantics. I would reccommend Hawaii, because it has quiet beaches, for a laid back beach wedding/ or mountains, for a naturally beautiful setting, awesome venues, from private estates, to grand hotels, to cute beach houses to rent out for the reception. Great food, culture, and people. I'd be happy to help you out with more details if you let me know what you have in mind, and if Hawaii is your destination... info@weddingrebel.com

HI Roxane, Have decided on where you want to start your lifetime memories, well for starters I think you should do what makes you happy, have you thought about getting away on a tropical island, getting married on the beach or ina tropical garden is very romantic, plus it is not really expensive to do so, if priceis a factor..if you'd like, i can help you decide if you want to make it jamaica...you may visit this site and see what are offered, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Hi Wedding Rebel - Do you know/recommend any good Maui wedding coordinators? We are hoping for a Maui beach wedding, and I am looking for some help. Have you heard anything about Event Masters?
Thanks for any advice!

Hi Roxanne.

We first considered Hawaii, because the bride's father had always wanted to visit there.

After doing some research we found that the prices to get there, travel arrangements, and costs once there were astonomical from the UK.

Thankfully in retrospect, we decided to go to Thailand instead. I would now be feeling bad if I had chosen a location that someone else had decided upon.

Thailand was beautiful and relatively unscathed by the tourist hoardes (Still all natural). The people are out of this World. Honestly, you will not believe it until you meet them. Thailand lies on 2 seas, and 1 side is totally unaffected by the tsunami.
You can live there comfortably on £20 a day. A meal costs £1 to £2.
The flights from the UK are regular and cheap.
In total, it was cheaper than going to Spain.

We went with 14 people and they are pretty much all planning on returning.
First Bangkok, and then down to the paradise of Koh Samui. Having said that, I am sure that there are plenty of fantastic islands/locations in the Gulf of Thailand.

I have travelled all over the World, and nowhere has come close to the incredible beauty of Thailand and the Thai people.
