:) Is anyone getting married in Gatlinburg Tennessee? If so where? Who is going with you, what are you wearing, etc... I am seriously thinking about going to Gatlinburg and eloping. Thanks in advance for any input!

My FH & I are getting married July 2005 in Gordonsville, TN. It's in between Knoxville & Nashville (probably about 2 hrs from Gatlinburg). We found a bed & breakfast there that we fell in love with (I actually found it through a posting on this forum). www.butterflyhollow.com

We will be married outside there on their property. I will be wearing a satin strapless A-line gown with a sweep train ( http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=1891&prodgroup=127 ). My FH will be wearing a nice summer weight suit.

We were going to have family & friends come up there with us but have since decided that we will have a casual reception when we return home the following weekend. We do, however, have a friend that will be visiting family in TN that weekend so she is gonna drive over to serve as our witness & help me get ready. Though, I'm sure that any place you choose can provide witnesses for the ceremony.

I have been to Gatlinburg a couple of times & knew friends of friends that got married there so I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be perfect. If you are not completely set on Gatlinburg you should check out Butterfly Hollow. So far I have had a completely wonderful experience with them. You could always get married there & honeymoon in Gatlinburg. We chose the Candle Lit Wedding and Honeymoon Exclusive package so that we will be the only guests for the weekend of our wedding.

I knwo where gatlinburg is. It is a very beautiful quaint place. I actually went there with my Husband on Christmas Vacation this year and we had a blast. I don't know of any places to get married, but I saw an ADDORABLE church house that has a cazeboo (however you spell it) and of course your back ground is the mounatins.

I think most of the resorts and b&b's all offer wedding packages. It is pretty up there, I can see why you would consider this.

I found the place for your wedding. Take a look at the Park Vista Hotel. They have an on-site wedding coordinator, a lawn area where you can have your ceremony (they also have an inside area in the event of inclement weather), they can arrange for a minister to conduct the ceremony, and they can accommodate 400 people (even though it looks like you won't have that many, but you might change your mind :-). They offer several wedding packages. I hope this helps!

We are thinking about going to Gatlinburg for our honey moon... I have heard it is a wonderful place to go, mountains everywhere... Though it is a tourist town.. So rumours say.
