I love looking through all the catalogs and info I've been getting and taking an idea here and an idea there and putting them into my own idea of my wedding. I like seeing all the stuff the honeymoon locations send you and stuff you'll get if you choose their hotel. I also used to love sharing it with my family! I know everyone's going to have their own opinions and things, but honestly, we've barely begun and I'm already heading over to my FH's house to get away from them all. Like today, I watched the DVD from Sandals, and thought wow, that looks nice. So I get on the internet to check out the prices and at first I'm a little hesitant about it. But then once you start adding up air fare, hotel costs, food and activity costs, it's a lot less and makes a lot more sense to go there. Then I talked to my mom about it because she had asked about what the Sandals bronchure said. And then of course she told my grandma. My grandma can't believe I would spend that much money on a honeymoon. Why don't we just drive for 8 hours and spend a lot less money at the vacation spot my family goes to every summer. Well, simple, because I went there every summer from the time I could barely walk until the year before last! They're also skeptical about the money we're spending on the wedding, like the centerpieces I adore and the dresses; and the invitations I kinda like, they think are hideous. They totally thought the butterfly release thing was outrageous! Have you ever wanted to just say, "I love you, but this is MY wedding." My mom and stepdad are putting in money for the wedding, but they said "use it on whatever you want, and if any's left over, use it on the honeymoon or whatever you need it for." But I feel like if they don't like some of the stuff I'm picking out, since they are paying for it, they should have a say in it. But, anyways... that was my vent for the day that had to come out before I see my FH! :)

Your mom and stepdad said it, use it on what YOU want. It is your wedding. God willing, it is your only one. No one in my family is happy about my wedding or like any of my ideas. They think I should put together a wedding for like $1-2,000 and call it quits. Guess what, not going to happen. Its your wedding, do what you want. They are still going to show up and have a good time. By the time you get back from the fabulous honeymoon they will have moved onto other things to ***** about.

By the way we are going to Sandals. You should really look into it. They are wonderful resorts.
