I just thought that I would let everyone learn from my mistake!
My FH bought me one of those "wedding planner books". I thought that some of my plans were definate so i wrote them in pen, then the plans changed so now my book is full of white out, and scribbles. So I just thought that i would tell everyone who is keeping a book like that, that it is smarter to write it in pencil until AFTER the wedding... when everything actually is FINAL. Anyways I just thought i'd post this so maybe you wont make the same mistake as me! :)

great idea! I had made copies of everything in mine and wrote all the preliminary stuff on the copies and then when it was "set in stone" I put it in the actual book :) I like your idea better - less crap to lug around hehe
I like your idea as well. I have had to make changes as well in mine and learned the hard way like yourself. Mine has a lot of white out in it as well. I have now started to use pencil. It is a little easier to erase and it looks a whole lot better. I actually have two planners cause when I registered at Dilliards through the online registry they sent me one. The one Dilliards sent was more for how to plan for your new home as a couple and what a couple should register for. I found it neat since a lot of people do not know what to register for and how many of each item. It also tells about the different types of flatware, stemware, etc.

Just look at the white out and scribbles as one more 'memory' of your wedding planning. My planner has a few scribbles and changes, too. Why should it look perfect though? Years from now, when I flip through it again, I want to remember how the planning actually went...not a 'seemingly perfect' version of the planning. Some of the funniest memories will be the things you changed. For instance, I have an appointment written in my planner's calender for a caterer. I decided to cancel it when I read in the paper that the place was temporarily shut down by inspectors because of rodents. I cut out the article just to remind myself of my close call. :p
