I have a best friend who just got married this past june and I was her maid of honor and she is going to be my matron of honor, my sons god mom is my maid of honor and I just want to know when should I ask for her help and what is it that she should help with. I have never been in a wedding so I don't know all the roles and rules. My wedding is not until June 26th 2004, but I love to plan everything early, I have done a lot so far but when do i ask her to start helping?

First of all Congrats on the engagement. June 26, 2004 was my wedding date too until my soon to be hubby and I changed it to April 17, 2004. But anyway on to your question. There's no time like the present to ask her. I don't see what it would hurt. All she can say is yes or no. But I know you don't wanna feel rejected but you never know until you take that chance and ask her just to see what she saids. Just sit down with her over lunch or something and tell her your plans and then ask her for her help of whatever it shall be. It can be very nerve racking cause I am planning my wedding early too cause I don't like that last minute thing. Just call her up and ask her to lunch or something and tell her that you have something that you would like to discuss with her and you want her opinion on it and see how it goes from there. Let me know how it goes..
