We are going to have a formal sit-down dinner for our reception. No dancing or DJ, but I would like to have some good background music, so that its not so quiet. We would prefer some jazzy, saxaphone type music. Any ideas?

I am not sure what ideas you are looking for. If you want to hire a band, then it is just a matter of hiring a jazz band and going over song selection with them. You said you didn't want a DJ, but you could hire a DJ and just have them play soft background music. I think Harry Connick, Jr. and Norah Jones would be great for that.

I'm a recent college grad and going back to school in the fall to work on a master's in saxophone performance. I'll be in town most of the summer, if your wedding happens to be then. I have a few recordings of me soloing with a jazz band accompaniment that I would be willing to send you. Just email me at tonybabecka@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to get them to you and discuss the matter more in depth. Thanks
