I'm an extreme earlybird when it comes to planning my wedding. I'm already a year and a half ahead of schedule yet I can't seem to slow down now that I'm on a role. I've already got my Ceremony and Reception site, my centerpieces, my wedding favors, my Wedding Dress, veil and tiara as well as my decorator for my big day. :p Today, I decided to drag my MOH out of her bed this morning to go on a wedding flowers scavenger hunt! She didn't seem to mind except that we started to get frustrated that none of the florists were asking us if we needed any help with our choices of bouquets! :o I guess we should've expected that since we did decide to look for ideas on one of the busiest weekends of the year! DUH! :D That's ok though, we actually used that excuse to buy our mom's flowers for Mother's Day. hehe.

Well the good thing about looking at wedding flowers and whatnot right now is pricing them - sure, you might have a mild heart attack now, but if you wait till next week to buy them, you'll have a pleasant time since the prices will be lower hehe

Another thing that I'm kinda struggling with is whether or not I should go with real flowers vs silk/artificial. I'm just posting because I'm just in a mood to babble right now... The thing is, I'm dead set on my throw-away bouquet to be one of those that break apart when the bride throws it to the crowd of crazed single women/girls. I'm just wondering if silk flowers would be too cheezy and if I go with real flowers (which are much nicer to begin with) then it would only be right to go with real flowers for the whole wedding party. I'm just not sure if the throw-away would look ok once it breaks apart in the air and whether or not the girls will be disappointed in what they end up catching. Well, I have lots of time to figure that out and it's one of the reasons why I'm hitting the flower shops already. That way I'll have a better idea as what would be more appropriate vs. what can be settled with.

I found some Velvet roses awile ago at michales and a store called franks nursery and crafts. They were awesome. Looked so real and everyone thought they were. The ones i bought are Yellow but i saw other colors.
As far as the throw away, go to the loal grocery store that has a "floral" dept. and ask them to make u a bouqet. I think mine was like 8 dollars for some flowers, it was nice tied with ribbon and stuff. And the throw away shold be real, I dont think anyone really wants some fake flowers thrown at them.
OHHHH i know what i really wanted to say was t hat, If u are usuing peddles for the asile runner.. ask the local florist for a bag of peddles. Mine ran 5 dollars for a 1 gallon baggie size. It is sooo much cheeper then spending the money on roses and taking them apart
