Someone I was talking to suggested Burmuda or Aruba and I don't know anyone that has been to either place...has anyone been to either place and what did you think of it? Did you stay in an inclusive resort or not???? All responses would be great! Thanks in advance! Michele

A friend of mine has a time share there and is going in July for a week. I could let you know then... I was supposed to go too but something came up. :(

awesome thanks!!! when I mentioned Burmuda, Rick said to me in a completely serious tone "Do you know how many things get lost in that triangle?"
I couldn't stop laughing....it was too funny...

I would be scared of that too!
My parents are big travellers, and went to Aruba last year, and loved it. My mom said it's absolutely amazing. :p

I have a book from my Tourism Geography class that I am sure will have some tips in it for you. I will dig it out later and post anything I find.

OK...well I dug the book out and here is some of the info I found:
Top Honeymoon Destinations for U.S. Newlyweds
1.The Caribbean
2. Hawaii
3. Florida
4.Mexico
5. Pennsylvania
6. The Bahamas
7. California
8. Canada
9. Bermuda
10. Europe
In regards to Bermuda...Hotel are expensive (though less so in the winter), both air and water are chilly in the winter, and most visitors get around in taxis or mopeds. The country is English speaking. Attractions: a limestone cave, a lighthouse, churches. A politically stable island, Bermuda is perfect for tourists who want a little formality and culture to go along with their beach vacation. Impressive scenery.
In regards to Aruba...Very dry and desertlike, rather than lush; and combines Dutch and Hispanic influences. Best known for it's fine beaches and casino-resort hotels. Inter-island flights and ferries available to Bonaire and Curaco. Peaceful and quiet except for casino areas.
In both cases, be careful for petty theives. Hotels add massive service and tax surcharges (airports also add departure taxes). Taxi fares should be ascertained ahead of time.

If you go to Aruba, I would definitely stay in an all inclusive! That's what my parents did.
