Hey, I having been search the polls for a long time and I have not heard of anyone having a Godmother in their wedding. My FH suggested the whole Godmother (GM) and Godfather (GF) when we first talked about getting married. We have already decided who we would like our GM and GF to be. Does anyone know what role they play or if anyone knows of a wedding that had those two roles?

I am not sure I understand your question. Do you have children that you haven't chosen godparents for? If not, what are you picking godparents for? I have never seen godparents included in a wedding.

Well I found a thread that I had previously started that someone responded and described what the godparents' role is. Thanks for the post!!

I remeber a thread where they were talking about godparents, the bride was marrying a man of hispanic descent and there are some traditions in the wedding ceremony in which godparents play a roll. I have never heard or seen anything with godparents before that thread so I assume it is a cultural tradition. So I would not bother with it unless it is a part of your herritage or family traditions, but if you really wanted to do something it is your wedding so you can do what you want :)
