I need help with deciding what my soon-to-be hubby is going to wear. All suggestions are welcome! We are getting married at Butterfly Hollow Bed & Breakfast in Tennessee www.butterflyhollow.com . The following link is a pic of my dress. I think my dress would be considered informal but then again it's not. HELP PLEASE!!

We have both decided that he's not going to wear a tuxedo because our wedding is going to be outside in July. Lol...he'll wither away from the heat.

It really depends on how formal you want to go. My brother's wedding was outdoors and all the men wore black jeans, cowboyboots and hats with a white button down shirt. I've seen other weddings where the groom wore a silk button down shirt, even a poet shirt. It really depends on your style :)

I wouldn't think your dress would be considered informal, it's beautiful!
I would think it could work very very well in a setting where most things are informal.

Is the reception outdoors as well?

Thank you...I fell in love with the dress. I also like the fact that it doesn't have a long train. I think the sweep train will be perfect for the outdoors because I have to walk a little ways to the site that we will be married.

Yes...everything will be outdoors. The place (Butterfly Hollow B & B) is really beautiful. It's set in a valley with a restored 1800's farm house. They have horses all around & flowers planted everywhere. The gardens look to be amazing.

Thanks for your help!

That dress is elegant so he should wear something nice too. I would suggest a summer weight suit. Maybe in a light brown/tan like this:

paired with a white dress shirt and tie to coordinate with your dress or flowers. A navy suit would also look nice for July. I would stay away from black, since it is outside in the summer.

i was thinking along this same line...a light weight suite tan like the one suggested with a white shirt or even a pair of nice khakis and a white dress shirt with a tie anything like this would be a lot less hot then a tux or dark suit and still look classy, not to mention that buying one like this would be giving him something nice he could wear other palces later.

Thanks for the suggestions! I really like the idea of the summer weight suit.
I like the suit in the macy's link that was posted but unfortunately I live no where near a macy's. It gives me something to go on when I do check out stores in my area.

Thanks again, everyone!! :D

Update....thanks again for all the suggestions. My FH & I found the perfect summer suit this weekend at S & K Men's Wear. It's very similar to the suit in the macy's link. The sales guy was absolutely wonderful. I would reccomend them to anyone.
