Have any other ladies on here done all the planning themselves?

It's pretty difficult but I'm trying my hardest. My FM doesn't seem all that interested in helping, well I'm actually kinda scared to ask. My mom lives 1500 miles away.. so do all of my friends (I moved to be with my FH, see engagement thread haha). I can't get a lot of help from them..

So, who on here has done it on their own and lived to tell the tale? :D

Well, as far as the planning I am doing a lot of it and then telling the FH what we need and what I have planned. He does give me some input but then tells me I can do what I want. Not only am I doing the planning pretty much by myself ... we are also doing all of the decorations for the wedding and reception including the flower arrangements. I will say this though I have a lot of family members that have talents I have picked up on and have asked them to do different aspects of the wedding (ie make cake, take pictures, etc). If you are going to become an active member to these forums then you will have a lot of good suggestions and help from all of us. So don't get frustrated with the planning because we are all here to help each other and offer advice. Remember, it's your wedding and you can do whatever you want. Have fun and plan the wedding of your dreams!

I lurked for quite some time and just signed up as plans be***e finalized.

So I'd love to stay on and help other ladies with their special day.

My FH is helping as much as he can too. But I'm the one that has to do a lot of the work. He's a FT college senior and works. So I don't wanna pester him too much. ;)

It's not really all that bad, i just wish I had some people around to voice opinions.. ya know?

That's so awesome you're able to make a lot of the things ya need for the wedding. Such a money saver too!

Well consider us people you can voice your opinion to and we will listen and try to reply and make suggestions. We are all here to help each other.

I'm doing all my planning myself - I'm quite enjoying it. the trick is to take it one step at a time and don't let it overwhelm you. Get organized. Write things down and review them. Write everything down and then by process of elimination make your choices.
