Hello everyone! I am having a little trouble picking out a song for my parents and my FH parents to dance to. We are making a special dance for them just as a thank you for all of the stuff they have done for us up until now and we can't seem to find a song for them. Any ideas? Thanks.

Could you possibly find out what their wedding songs were? Maybe you could do a dance for each of them to their own wedding songs.

My Fh Knows His Parents Song But His Sister Had Them Dance To That At Her Wedding 3 Years Ago And I Kind Of Wanted To Do A Different One. And My Parents Didn't Have A Big Wedding So They Never Had A First Dance Together To A Certain Song.

Do you know a song that is one of their favorites? Maybe one from when they dated will work.

I Don't Know How To Ask Them Without Them Knowing What We Are Doing. I Was Looking On The Internet And I Was Thinking About "hero" My Mariah Carey, "unforgettable", Or "wind Beneath My Wings". I Am Really Up For Anything. Any Ideas? Are These Not Good Ones? I Also Need Help Finding The Name And Artist Of A Song. I Only Know A Couple Lines In It. "dad, This Could Be The Best Day Of My Life, I've Been Dreaming Day And Night Of Being Like You.....standing In The Back Of The Church With Our Tuxes On Looking At Him I Say I Can't Believe Son That Your Grown." I Just Know A Man Sings It. Please Help.

That's George Strait - the song is called The Best Day.

Any of these songs will work for what you are wanting. My favorite is "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. I would play it at my wedding/reception but I am having a hard time with it since it was my grandmother's favorite song. She will be with us in spirit as she passed away a few years ago. My aunt and I both have had hard times hearing this song as we always break out into tears. It has a lot of meaning to us.

You can just bring it up sometime when you are listening to the radio or talking about songs. All you have to do is mention "what is dad and your favorite song". Maybe you can start the conversation off with "did you hear about... (something dealing with music)".

Hello again! I was just thinking about the song "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewert as the song for my parents and my FH parents to dance to? Yes......No? Tell me what you think.

That is a wonderful song. I would let the parents dance to it. Good luck.

It's hard to pick becuase they are all great songs. We are doing the parents dance to Lee Ann Womack's I hope you dance. It has special meaning to my mom and I. Another good one that is unexpected is There you'll be by Faith Hill (Pearl Harbor Soundtrack) I am dancing with my dad to that one. If you are going for original but classic you could maybe rent some lovey type movies and then listen to the songs on the sound track. Just an idea. That can be time consuming.

My vote is on "because you loved me" by Celine Dion. It says it all. I know most people think of it as a love song, but when you listen to the lyrics closely, it goes with what a parent's true contributions are about. My FH will be dancing to it with his mom. It was her choice. Good luck!

What about Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray? I always think of my parents when I hear this song. Just a thought.
