:) :) We decided to get out of the rainy UK and marry in Krabi, Thailand. We also booked a reception in Coventry.
We were devastated when the Tsunami struck Thailand and were forced to move the location to Koh Samui, Thailand. Then we found out that there had been a mistake that had meant that the reception venue (a large hotel chain) had been treble-booked.
Turned out that Koh Samui was the most beautiful place I have ever seen and that the wedding (Buddhist and secular) went like an absolute dream. The Thai people are so polite and helpful that it is sometimes humbling. The reception issue was resolved and was also absolutely fantastic.
What seemed like a nightmare has turned out to be magnificent beyond description. I look at the wedding video every day and dream to see those coconut trees once more. My sister has worked as a wedding photographer for 15 years, and reckons it's the best wedding she has ever been too.
The secret is not to worry, and hey if you're nervous, don't be afraid to get a shot of vodka. ;)
