I am looking for ideas to make a memory quilt. What I want to do is have everyone sign a piece of square fabric for the quilt instead of the quilt and have my aunt put it together for me.
I am looking for samples of different quilts. HELP!!! ;)

A quilt that had photographes (color) printed on frabric that was incorporated into the quilt. It was soooo awsome. I would look into that. I'm sure an internet search would yield something! Good luck to you and I wish you were my friend!

Thanks for your help! I think I have found what I wanted. I was searching at a fabric store and happened to see a quilt book called Memory quilts, and was just what I want. I skimmed through the book to see if it would be worth buying and saw that they had one where they did it into 3 hearts and the signatures, messages from the guests were in this heart. It was really cool. I am going to buy the book I think at Chapter's cause I just can't seem to find any patterns I like online.
Thanks again!
Norma :)

I am trying to do this same idea for my wedding and was wondering if I could get the name of that book you found? Please email me if you can. Thanks!

I'm doing the same thing! I'm fortunate that one of my clients owns a quilting specialty store - guess who I'm going to talk to? :)
I've made quilts before - its been a long time though - I think since this is something I definitely don't want to screw up, I'm going to ask her to assist me with it. I get to leave work early today so I think I'll go talk to her!

Good luck reecey. She might have you pay for the supplies to make the quilt and for some of the labor. But it is well worth the price. Maybe you can talk her into making the quilt as a wedding gift to you and your FH.

I'm not worried about the cost - I talked to her today and of course she'll give me a discount on the materials. She showed me an easy way to do it and also gave me a computer diagram of the quilt so I can put it togther easily :)
