Hello to all :)

My fiance and I were talking about this wedding I am trying to do everything ourselves to try to minimize costs -- so far no luck. I was wondering if anyone could give me a few ideas on either do it yourself or cheap ideas for place card holders

Thanks

Hello Armitage,
I went to this one web site and thats where I ordered my favors from and didnt pay too much. I am doing the horse and carriage theme kind of cinderella with out the cartoon effect. Whats your theme and colors? When are you getting married? Try this site I will put the link at the end they have alot of items. There is another site but it is under construction right now it may be down for a few days but thats another site I ordered from. They custom make certain things like photo albums guest books and pens gift card box cake knife and serving sets and unity candles they have alot more items also and if you email them and tell them what you are looking for they are really great about it. Let me know what you think. heres the sites. and good luck.

The one wedding that I went to, just had plain place cards with your name and table number. Then at the table they had the favor. It was a tea light holder (either clear or red) in their colors, with a tea light wrapped in like a netting, and a thank you from the both of them on it. I don't know if you have an Ikea where you are from, but that is where they got them from. They were 50 cents a piece (and if you want to save, I would check it out)! Hope this helps and good luck!

A card folded tent style doesn't require a holder- that will probably be your cheapest option. You could also do something to match your centerpieces depending on what you have planed. I have also seen produce used as a place card holder (such as an apple or pomegranate with a slit for the card.)

Thanks for the ideas!!!

My colors are a light blue with a hint of teal/aqua, looking to accent with pale pink, yellow, and green. Theme of the wedding is Kim Anderson's Pretty as a Picture figurines.

Thanks for the ideas.
