Hello All,
I've been toying with many ideas on what to do as favors. And I just fell in love with this one idea. I want to find (which is harder now) clear glass Christmas bulbs/ornaments, and then pour in sand and seashells. I found one site online that sells the round bulbs for I think less than 50 cents a piece. And over the past 2 years, people have been collecting sea shells for me:) so that's not a problem. Does anyone know if Michaels, or A.C. Moore sells them? Anyone who wants to use this idea, be my guest! Or if anyone has done this sort of thing, reply and let us know how they turned out!! :o

Michael's has them...I made beaded Christmas ornaments this year for gifts and that is where I bought the bulbs.

Hi I went to a wedding last year where they were doing the beach idea and what they did was instead of labeling their tables with numbers they used names of the beaches in their state and put some sand that they purchased from AC Moores and everyone thought they got the sand from each beach.

Hello. My centerpieces are going to be ceramic castles that we painted witha sand-based paint, so that they look like sand castles. and in the top part, we are putting mini flags on them (like you would see on a sand castle) and those are going to be the table numbers:)

Check your local department stores first! Walmart still has some christmas clearance stuff out - I saw the clear balls there for .50 for a set of 6! Check with your dollar stores too! They may have something in the back that they'd be willing to get out for you :)

Thanks Reecey. I already thought of that, and there is NOTHING!! I wish I would have thought of this idea back in the Christmas Season. But, I did call A.C. Moore's and they do have them there. And when they have "Midnight Madness sale", I can get and extra 20% off everything (that isn't on sale). So we are going to have a "favor" party and have all of my bridal party come over and help make them:)
