HI everyone!!! Okay, I am doing the traditional father/daughter dance at the reception, but my mom said that she would also like to have a mother/daughter dance. My mom(momma) is very outgoing and a very big child at heart. ever since i was a little girl i have loved the song 'summer of 69' by bryan adams, and thats because my mom always listened to that song. So, she basically told me that we will be dancing to that song at the reception for the mother/daughter dance she wants to have. now, i have no problem doing this, my mom and i are extremely close, but i was wondering what everyone else thinks. I know that i am sposed to do what makes me happy cuz its my day, but i am just looking for some opinions. thanks!!!

I think that would be great. my cousin did that for her wedding and it was fun to see new traditions being used. go for it.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having a mother/daughter dance at your reception. I really think it will be nice to dance to your mom's favorite song and one that you like and listened to as a child. Is there a song that you would prefer to dance to with your mother?
