Please send me any suggestions. I have 1 too many ring bearers. One is 8 and the other is 5. I am wanting the 5 yr old to be the ring bearer and was thinking of pairing the 8 yr old with one of my 8 yr old flower girls but then that would make them a junior bridesmaid and groomsman. It will also leave me with just one flower girl. Would they be too young to walk as a couple? Do I tell my best friend that I have no place for her son in my wedding party?? Please Help!!
Would it be possible to have two flower girls and then two ring bearers? I have seen some weddings do this and it is fine. The two flower girls will walk together and then the two ring bearers.

One of my sisters did this for her wedding - it looked just adorable. I think that kids make the ceremony sweet - and gives a bit of innocence to it.

Two ring bearers is OK. One will carry the brides ring and the other carries the grooms ring. There is no need to have an equal number of boys & girls. so, one flower girl is OK. Typically, the number of children involved in the wedding party depends on the number children the bride & grrom have as family members or very close friends.

I agree, two ring bearers is a fine idea. I was in a wedding when i was little, and my sister and I were the flower girls, and there was just one ring bearer. I don't remember much of the wedding because we were so young, but looking back at videos and pictures, it looked fine. Well, except me falling over my dress and taking my sister down with me :)

carmela,
I like idea #1
Maybe what you can do is have one of the boys act as the bell ringer. He will come up right before you announcing the "bride is coming." I would have the oldest boy do this so he doesn't forget to say the words.
