View Full Version : Need your advice on designing wedding invitations
My sister is getting married next summer. I am helping her look for some affordable wedding invitations and favors. Does anyone recommend any sites for reasonably priced invitations and cards? She likes the idea of giving out CDs as wedding favors, too. It would be great if those could match her invitation design.
I just got married a few months ago, and I got my cards and favors from MonogramWedding .com (http://www.monogramwedding.com). I was really pleased with their selection, and you can design and lay out your own invitations exactly like you want them. I think they also sell CDs and save the dates and such, too. They were nowhere near as expensive as some of the other sites I checked, and I was really pleased with the quality. Good luck with your wedding planning!

I got married in September and my husband and I created our own invitations on Shutterfly. We added our picture to the front which gave it a special touch. Very inexpensive. I think we ordered around 70-80 invitations, including envelopes and paid about $130.00, if I remember correctly. I wouldn't go overboard on the favors. Many quests end up leaving them at the tables after the reception. Have fun!

I got my invites at Michaels 200 for about $130. We printed them at home which was super easy and inexpensive. With the favors, if you have an invitation with some sort of design you can usually find a replica of it or close to it to print for CD labels. Say your invite has polka dots you can create a label with a polka dot background to tie the two together...they don't have to be exactly the same :D
