Has anyone done any traveling in Greece? We are thinking about going for the honeymoon, as we both love architecture and mythology and history. I found a great website that was put together by a guy who travels in Greece extensively and he recommends using a travel agency in Greece for making plans. Many of the packages the agencies offer include hopping to one or more islands after arriving in Athens. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to island hop or just do the tourist thing in Athens.

My fiance and I are going to Hawaii for 8 days. We are going to do a little island hopping but not much because there is so much to see on one island. I think whether you go island hopping depends on what you want to see and how long you are staying. If you are only staying 5 days, I recommend staying on one island. If you only want to see the great architecture, then you may want to check out a couple of the other islands. It depends on what you are looking for....
For instance, I really want to see the volcanos and they are on another island. We may go on the night cruise by the volcanos.
