Engagement Party

Hello,

I am planning my own engagement party, Bridal Shower and Wedding....need ideas on what to do..
Have any one planned or attended an Engagment Party?

We are planning a Destination Wedding, so should the engagment party be based on that idea? Please help :)

Wedding- Destination weddings can be so amazing. Just remember that you are expected to pay for travel expenses for those you invite. Include this in your planning now and you won't be surprised latter on.

Showers- It is not appropriate to give yourself a Bridal Shower. Please ask someone close to you (a bridesmaid?) to do this for you.

Engagement party- This can be as informal and fun as you wish. It is a great way for families and friends to meet and to establish yourself as a couple. Remember that only those who will be invited to the wedding should be invited to this party. I love the idea of a little wedding preview with a destination themed engagement party. Have fun!
