Does a Friday wedding work?

I have to change my wedding date due to my fiances friend getting married the same day. Half the wedding party wouldn't be able to attend. Unfortunately I already put the deposit down on the reception hall. I called and can change the date but there was only Sat July 5 left or just about any Friday I want. The July date would rush me quite a bit. Is a Friday wedding okay? Are people able to take off of work?

It might be difficult for some people to make it, but if they really care about you then I think they will. Guess you'd just have to ask them. Good luck!

I've been to a couple of Friday weddings and they worked out great! As long as your guests know well in advance, then it should be fine!
