My wedding colors are black and white, but I'm having a hard time deciding on whether or not to add a small amount of color or not and if I do what color do I choose? I really wanted it to be super formal, like a black tie affair. The problem I am having is what flowers I can have with a black and white color scheme. And I hate roses. :) LOL I am too picky for a wedding I think.
To the courthouse I go. :)J/K

Hi hun,
Our wedding is black/ivory and formal also. I was undecided about the accent color as well until we actually looked at the location for our wedding. It's important that your accent colors coordinate with your venue. From there pick whatever color you like the most. Any color you go with is not going to take away from the formality. We are using deep burghandy/crimson/ivory/possibly even a little yellow. It's really a matter of preference with color. As far as flowers go you are open to Calla Lilies/Orchids. Callas can come in a variety of colors also. I check out flowers everytime we're at the grocery store/Costco just for ideas. Good luck and hope this was a little helpful for you

One more thing..I was married in a courthouse once before and regretted it thoroughly until now. It's as unglamourous as one can possibly get. Everything will come together and you'll know you want something when you see it. That's my experience so far:)

Have you thought about all white arrangements, or even ivory. You should consider adding silver accents. All white arrangements with a touch of silver floral spray would look classy and elegant with a black and white theme.
