Poker Theme

I def need some help. haha Is 5:40am Sunday morning and I havent gone to bed yet. lol A poker themed wedding popped into my brain and ive been searching for ideas for the past hour and really havent found anything. Boyd (my FH) LOVES poker. And since weve been together its something that has brought us closer together since he has taught me how to play (and very well i might add lol). This is both mine and his 2nd wedding. I want my dress to have a color in it and i was going for like a sage green accent in my dress at first untill this ever so wonderful of a poker themed wedding got into my head. I was thinking playing cards as favors, custom cake topper (King and Queen of Hearts cards), and maybe the suits (hearts, diamonds etc) shaped candles for center pieces (if i can find all these things). Im thinking i will have to go with a different accent color on my dress instead of green. With poker decks being black and red thoes would be the logical theme colors; however, my first wedding was accented in dark red and black (rose theme though). I guess im wondering if anyone has any ideas for this poker themed wedding and what are your feelings on using almost the same colors for my 2nd wedding as i did for my first wedding?

I saw some place cards that are like playing cards. I think I saw them in the Martha Stewart wedding mag. You can get the name on the front and the table number on the back (like 9 of spades for table nine).

I've also see where you can order decks of cards with your picture on them. (favors? maybe add a few poker chips in the bag?)


I don't know about the same colors though. I'd ask my fiance what he thinks because it's all about the two of you!!!
