I have always wanted my wedding colors to be sage green and champagne. I wanted this color to be consistent throughout the wedding, but I think that green and champagne flowers may be boring. Can anyone suggest some ideas for flowers that will not ruin my color scheme?

For your bouquet, white is never a wrong choice! In fact from what my mother tells me that's what a bride is suppose to have, throw a dash of accent colors, like green. I'll hafta think about what flowers for BM bouquets and other uses.

You can put almost any soft color flower with those. My colors are platinum and light blue and I am going to put light colors like pinks, yellows, purples, ect. I think if you stay soft you will be good to go.

I agree with the white. You want to go with a flower that is an off white with your champaigne color. White roses or white hydrangeas would do nice. For greenery you could use something called lambs fur. It is a sage green colored greenery that you could use for filler. In order to incorporate your champaigne, you could use that color for your ribbon. I did not come up with any of this myself. My mom is an awesome florist and I read to her what you wrote and she gave me the ideas. I hope it helps.

Gardinias are great with that color scheme. They are a white/cream color with just a little hint of green in the middle. I'm using them for my girls. The good thing is they are in season almost all year long.

I think that a green bouquet is hardly boring. I have looked through many magazines and have always been struck by the green bouquets, I think because they are so different that they are eye catching. I quickly flipped through here now and found a couple. One is in the summer 2007 Matha Stewart on pg 254. It is a bunch of lillies of the Valley surrounded by green leaves and wrapped with a green ribbon. The other is in Fall 2007/Winter 2008 The Knot. The bouquet is greens and white shades and it has nerines, miniature calla lillies, dreen and what parot tulips, green lisianthus, green veiberum and chives in it.

There are so many flowers to choose from. The orchids from the picture above come in so many colors. Numerous flowers come in all sorts of colors even champagne. You really just need to decide on what flowers you like.
