I have been friends with sarah for about 8 years. I am getting married in oct of 2005. She is currently serving our country in iraq. we have grown farther apart over the past couple of years and i would like for her to be a bridesmaid. she wont be back until september of 05. it's not like i can ask her to get her sizes over there and send them to me. I dont know waht to do. could i ask her to be something else that wouldnt require us to order dresses ahead of time?

You can ask her to handle guest book duties, do a reading, or light the candles.

If she's an outgoing person and would be willing, maybe you could have her do a reading of a poem or scripture. She'd be directly involved in the ceremony and won't have the hassle of the dress :)
