Invitation Wording and what to send

I am confused on what to send out and who to send it too and how to even word it. I want to send a invite to everyone to give them a chance to go, but I dont want to send it too early, Should I send an RSVP with a save the date? Or should I just go ahead and send the invite to everyone? Any suggestions on Wording for the Save the Date with RSVP? Any help would be great. My wedding is in about 6 months and I need to get on the ball.
