Although my location is not officially green, I know there must be things we can do to make the day and surrounding events more eco-friendly.
Does anyone have any ideas? Know of any websites or articles that talk about this?
Thanks!!

I believe theknot.com has a section on Green weddings. Just search for it. You might be able to google somethings and come up with ideas. I think I've heard of people using recycled paper for invites and things such as that. Maybe avoid using paper items for the reception, like renting china instead of using paper plates?

Use flower seeds or grass seeds instead of confetti. Bring recycling bins to the reception area. Instead of paper napkins, use cloth as much as you can. Use cloth decorations and don't use balloons for decorations. There's probally tons of stuff that you can do.
If you're looking for a really nice green idea as well, I'm getting everybody saplings for wedding favours. That way, I'm not only helping the enviroment, but everybody will be reminded of the green theme whenever they look at it!
