I am having a non-denominational officiant to perform my wedding. She sent me her civil ceremony, but I ended up re-writing the entire thing. Also her services cost $350.00. Should I tip her and if so how much?
Usually, the groom will give the best man a tip for the officiant and then the best man gives it to the officiant. I would seriously talk to the officiant about the $350 because if you had to re-write all of it then she may give you a break in the amount she requires. My grandfather performed weddings for years and has never charged anyone that amount. Usually, the officiant only receives a tip of about $100.
