I am expecting my dress not to fit me perfectly so its going to need to be altered. I was estimating $200 or so.
The bridal shop where I bought my dress recommends you take it to a certain alterations shop in town. Well, while my sister was in town she thought it'd be more convenient to take her dress there. The alterations cost $500!
I cannot spend that much money on alterations. My dress alone was $700, Im not going to spend $200 less than it cost me to buy the thing to have it altered!
Im just paranoid about taking it to a cleaners or something like that to have it altered. If anything happened to my dress I'd be devastated.
Where is everyone taking theirs? How much are you willing to pay to have it fixed?
and can someone please answer why the freaking sizes are so off? I usually wear a size 6 dress and my wedding dress is a size 10!
I'm convienced all the wedding vendors had a meeting and discussed how to make this event cost more than it has to!
