Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with a resort or destination idea for winter honeymoon, I would like to stay within the United States < shorter destination! I've heard Aspen Colorado is nice, but I would like some opinions...I don't care about the price...just as long as in USA.
(we have a small child and I would prefer to be here)
Thanks!
Brandi
** If you know of any other places please feel free to share, I am considering any and all options offered!

Brandi,
I know it may not be in the us but close enough.
My girlfriend just went to niagra falls for her honeymoon.
and she loved it.
is your child going with you?

No, which is why I would prefer being in the US... I know if something were to go wrong I've got 3 options: plane train & automobile I'll get to him!!!
That is a good idea! I'll be honest I never thought of that!!! thanks!

Brandi,
We are also planning a winter honeymoon, and you could say it is in th US. Try Alaska Cruises, it's beautiful that time of year, but you might run into the problem of finding availability. So far all websites are January through September 2005, so good luck and congratulations.

The cruise would be beautiful, but not if you need to get home in an emergency. One of my family members was going on a cruise when they had a friend sick in the hospital. When they asked how they could get back in an emergency, they were told a $10,000 helicopter ride!

I recommend checking out places in Michigan too. Mackinaw Island, Sault Saint Marie, Tahquamenon Falls... etc. There is a US side of Niagara Falls, but the Canadian side is much nicer (better view of the falls). It is still breathtaking though.
Also, what about Las Vegas? That is a great city, and you can check out the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam while you're there too. I've heard Maine and the east coast (the Carolinas, etc.) are really gorgeous too.

Thank you so much! I was really concerned about finding a destination...but as luck would have it I have tons of options.....I assume I have to call a travel company to arrange the plans? Would this be my best option? I'm ready to get the wheels rolling on our spot!!!
I'm sooooo excited!!! Lately I run around the house singing and jumping thru the air like I lost my mind! hehe!

Lake Placid and Vermont are great ideas for skiing, and they are beautiful!
