 I am new to this whole wedding planning thing. My question is this...

I have 4 bridesmaid this including my maid of honor. I would love to have all of my little cousins stand up in the wedding... I am very close to all of them
by the time I have my wedding they will range in age from 11-2 and as of right now they're are a total of 14 would this be ok or is this too many? and how would I list them in my wedding program? thank you for all your help.

I'm sticking to my rule there are no rules, but I do see why you'd be concerned, whoa, that's a lot of cousins! I think you would make them feel special! May I ask if guys are walking with them... I've heard before you should have one couple for every 25 guest attending (again I repeat I've heard this, and it has no factual grounds behind it)!
I'm gunna go with if you have 4 couples ... have remaining 10 girl cousins maybe walk in 2's or without a guy escort...to show they are part of the wedding but not to focus on too many "bridesmaids" this way it won't get boring (jr. bm)...just an idea! Go with what you want! Arrange both according to height, and list the same as they enter so everyone knows who's who. I hope I helped b/c I really don't know all the rules for those who prefer to stick by em', I just go with what would be visually stimulating!
**Best of luck, and don't worry if you don't like my idea they have many of women here with awesome ideas (you girls rock)!, and with so many your bound to get some help!

Brandi,

Thanx for the input. to answer your question. The 4 adult females do have males walking with them. what i was thinking of doing was putting the oldest kids together and walking as couples and the smaller ones walk in three's and the ones that are not walking maybe be pulled in a "wedding" wagon by one of the older kids...i am still wokring out the fine detalis so anymore input would be great.

What a clever idea! I must admit I've always seen the children who can't walk being held by an older person....This is 2 cute! Your ideas are wonderful and I mentioned visually stimulating...talk about a feast for the eyes!!! I think your guest will enjoy all that there is to be seen! If I think of any ideas I'll be sure to let you know.

Sounds like you have it all figured out. That is a lot of cousins though.

Could you perhaps give some of them miscellaneous duties? Like hand out the programs, hand out the favors, etc? Depending on how many boys and girls there are, you could have 3 flower girls.

Remeber back in the 80s when there were the royal weddings?

There was a gazillion children in those wedings.

I think it's OK to have the children walk in a group rather than worry about having children form couples.
If you are having a double ring ceremony, you can have 2 ring bearers.
Also, some of the children could serve as train bearers.

If you don't have enough room in the program, you can list the children paragraph style.
