I have five girls and a flowergirl. And not one of them are the same size in any part of their body than another. I have a 5'10" bridesmaid the size of a stick with a small B chest. I have a 5'4" Bridesmaid who is pretty big with a DD. So those are the opposite ends of the spectrum. My question is. Does anyone have an idea on what style/cut of dress would complement everyone with still making both small and large chested women comfterable. (no Strapless). It's been very difficult to make sure everyone is comfy. Thanks and Congratulations to everyone. Good Luck.

Alfred Angelo Dress (http://www.alfredangelo.com/index.cfm/fuseAction/COLLECTIONS.productDetail/fromAdvancedSearch/0/productID/246ee333-6e5f-4921-bc72-004ff5641e7f/categoryID/772f03c9-de43-4942-bfa0-da77e21ebd65)

Have you looked at Alfred Angelo dresses? They have many different styles and sizes. I have the same problem, so we chose a dress that was straight across the chest and has small straps. It's kinda fitted in the bodice and then flows into an a line skirt. It'll look nice on everybody type. my friend chose style #6280 and said it looked nice on the various sizes also. It helps if you can find a dress in two sizes and have them try them on together.

Have you considered just choosing a color and having your BM's wear whatever style dress they like and feel most comfortable in? I've seen this in a lot of pictures and it turns out to be really classy and elegant and still look absolutely beautiful.

If you were to choose your own color and allow them different styles how cute would that be!!! Not to mention that you are allowing them to express their own style (so long as it doesn't upstage yours) Very exquisite and tasteful...use the same flowers, hair & jewerly (or wraps) to make the connection flow ... put your girls in line according to height. Just imagine how those guest will hawk-eye to see the next dress leading to the bride, I know I would! The color and accessories will let everyone know that's your entourage!
~~**Best of luck and whatever you choose it's your day!**~~

Brandi has a great idea.

While some manufacturers have different style dresses in the same color, another thing you can do is have a dress maker make the dresses using the same bolt of fabric. The colors stay the same, yet the styles can compliment each bridesmaid.

Hi there!
I have the same problems! 3 of my BM's are plus sized! My MOH is a stick and my JB is in between! Whew! We looked at Alfred Angelo dresses as well as Alfred Sung. Man there are a variety of them out there! We have decided on a 2 peice for the plus size girl with an A-Line skirt. It really looked great on them! So for the plus size girls I say to pick a 2 piece and an a line skirt

I had that problem, and I found their dresses at Alfred Angelo. www.alfredangelo.com

The dress chose was style # 6828. I recommend taking at least a few of your bridesmaids to the shop to try on some dresses. That will give you a really good idea of what looks good on them. That is what I did. Good luck!

I am having btwn 6-7 girls in my party and they have a pretty good range of different sizes as well. I dont have any big girls at all, but some are tall, some are short, and that makes up for different sizes. So like most other girls have already said, I am going with Alfred Angelo as well. My dress is Alfred Angelo too, style number 1925 (for those of you who'd like to look at it, its AMAZING!) and i also wanted to give my girls the option of being able to choose which dress they'd like to wear and feel comfortable in. I chose yellow or Butter as my color and picked out a dress i really like and a few different sets of Separates they can choose from. All they have to do is stay w/Butter and pick from those i chose. I dont think it will be a big problem. It gives them the chance to choose what they want instead of being stuck w/the dress i picked, if they didn't like it! So give Alfred Angelo a look and see if you like some of his stuff. I guarantee your girls will like what they see on that website. Good luck!

I recently was married (Oct.20th) I had the same problem I had completely different sizes for bridesmaids....This is what I did, they chose between two dresses same fabric and different styles, the apple color I chose washed some out so the other two went for a copper color. I had two seperate colors with two seperate dresses it was awesome and turned out beautiful. The dresses had the same texture and similar cuts but flattered each girl and made them feel comfortable. :) I used Davids Bridal style numbers 8022 in cinnamon and style 8301 in apple check it out at davidsbridal.com

We faced the same problem when preparing our wedding this summer. Finally I have all bridesmaid dresses custom-made by chinesetailor.com. The cheongsams are beautiful and fit my bridesmaids, of various shapes, very well. They may help you in other styles if you like.
