Hello everyone! My wedding really depends on our honeymoon! I see myself in a cold climate (snow, fire, and us) *(whoa baby)* I can't think of anything better to suite my taste (his also) than romantic seclusion within the United States. Anyone with ideas please feel free to help me accomplish this backwards task... I am from the South and would love to see snow once again (not to mention my hair will look fabulous! <~~ no humidity)!
Kindest Thanks!
Brandi

I think, if I were you, I would LOVE to go to the Rocky Mountains! We live in Wisconsin, so we know snow...but picture it...a cabin in the mountains...just the two of you...and a big fireplace! Someday I'm going to see them myself! Otherwise, my sister stayed at a cabin in Northern Minnesota that had everything included-food and all. It's really pretty in the Northwoods too. Good luck!

The Upper Peninsula(in Michigan) would be a wonderful place to go if you are looking for snow!!!! I dont know of any specific cabins or anything, but im sure they have em somewhere up here(my FH goes to school up here)!!!! I am from Michigan, so I know snow-at least I thought, until I moved up here!!!! It is so nice and pretty though, so I dont mind. Anyway, hope that helps.

Oh it absolutely does... I do think a cabin would be lovely and well we like seclusion (we both work so hard that any time away from the world would make us feel happy) I want to live in a winter wonderland for a little while! Thank you so much for the tip b/c I'm writing it down and researching all options!

I dont know if you have ever heard of it or not. Its called the chalet village in gatlinburg tn. It is up in the mountains and lots of snow in the winter. It is very secluded from everything but it is a wonderful getaway and the house are very nice. You are able to look at them on line just go to www.chaletvillage.com. also congrats on your marriage

Brandi,

Try Boyne, Michigan, has lots of winter activities. There are a lot of things to do in the U P part of michigan. and very inexpensive. and they get atleast 10 feet or more of snow.

I live just south of Boyne - its stunningly beautiful - just like the rest of northern lower michigan. :)

Lake Placid, NY might be nice. It is supposed to be a beautiful area!

Vermont also, there is a lot of skiing, if you are into that.

If you like snow you may wanna check out places like Dunkirk, NY. It's on the shores of lake Erie and thier is tons of stuff to do like take wine tours. Plus it only takes an hour to get to Niagara Falls, Canada
