I am getting married on June 16,2007 and I need some ideas for decorations, favors, flower colors, and I was even thinking to do the pour of the sand in a container instead of having a unity candle. I was also thinking to have floating candles for a centerpeice but I am not sure if that is a good idea if small kids are going to be there. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do? :)

There are several Fairy Tale Wedding sites that can give you ideas for a Cinderella wedding.
FairyTale Wedding (check weddings we have done)
FairyTaleWeddingStore
FairyTaleWeddingShop
Also, see posting to the other threads re fairy tale & Cinderella weddings.
As for floating candle center piecess & children - If the center pieces are set deep enough into the table, they should be fairly safe from children. Some floating candle center pieces are in tall cylindars where the candle is a few inches below the top of the cylinder thereby keeping the flame well out of reach.

A favor I was thinking of taking is recipes rollup and tied with ribbon. Then on the cardboard put a label with are names and the date we get married on. The punch a hole in it and tie it with the ribbon.
The reason I thought I would do this is because I love to cook and I also have recipes for children that they can do with there parents. Would this be a good favor to give to people?

I am getting married in June 2006-cant decide on either the 17th (day after my bday) or the 24th-and i too was thinking of a cinderella wedding theme. i saw for better or for worse on lifetime-i love that show-and they were doing a cinderella theme. they had an isle runner that read "And they lived happily ever after" i also like the cakes that look like castles. my main problem is trying to find flowers that go well w/ this theme. may i ask-youre getting married in 2007?! how long have you been engaged. we've been engaged for 1yr and 1/2 and i'm already going crazy-just 21 months left!

I had a cinderella wedding personally. If you are going with a theme, all should match, centerpieces, favors, decor and dress.
Go to http://www.marsaevents.com/weddingphotos
and you will see some examples
Please e-mail me at mara@marasevents.com if you have questions, or need specific help. I would love to be of assistance.
I am a professional wedding planner and fairy tales are my favorite.

I would have a lot of candles. Depending on your budget, you could get those really fancy flower vases, and have an arrangement put in that and have votives surrounding it on the table with rose petals on a mirror. That would be really pretty, and you would get your "cinderella" effect. Depending on your venue, I would get those chair covers that have the sash attached to it to add a flare. You could also have an aisle runner coming from the entrance to maybe your gift or cake table or even the dance floor. And you could use rope lighting for your dance floor. For your wedding, I would use the pillars, and drape fabric from each pillar, Just have the middle one taller, and use the fan candleabras in the middle of the two pillars. For the Sand, I would think if you wanted the cinderella wedding, of having an elaborate candle stand, versus that, but whatever your preference is. HTH. let me know if you need any other ides. my email is dallaseventsandweddings@yahoo.com. I don't mind giving free help as I am a bride myself

There are some wonderful invitations for a cindrella themed wedding. Carlson Craft has an entire disney line that includes many choices for this theme. There are also accessories you can use for this like a Cinderella Ring Bearer pillow that is heart shaped. Castle favor cards that you can attach to any favor of your choosing, perhaps a tulle wrapped votive candle?
Cinderella favor boxes that you can fill with any chocolates or candies of your choice and a few other things.
My website has the Carlson Craft books for 36% off of the invitations and the accessories, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me personally, I would be happy to help.

I like your idea with the sand that's nice. I would be a little afraid to do the floating candles also, not only because of children but clumsy adults or just plain old accident happen! I can't find an aisle runner that says "Happy ever after" but I love the idea if you could find it. I am glad to see someone else out there is a planner! Im getting married on July 7, 2007. We fell into by mistake we were looking at when the next time our anniversary of the first date we went on would fall on a Saturday, it just so happens to be July 7th 2007 and we will be dating 7 years since our first date! I couldn’t pass this one up! But im a huge planner im obsessive compulsive! I want my wedding to be perfect so why not start now! Time flies any way!

You should try ebay (www.ebay.com)for your theme wedding supplies. Just do a search for "cinderella wedding" and all sorts of things will come up. Do a search every week, because there is new stuff every week at great prices. You will love it !!!!!!!!! If you need a ring pillow, garter, guest book, pen, ect. just do a search for cinderella guest book or what ever your looking for. See what comes up.

I am getting married at Disney World on March 18, 2006, we are very excited. So my advice to you is to go to www.disneyweddings.com which is their website concerning weddings and get some ideas through them for your theme (the website is new but it has tons of information). They have tons of ideas and pictures of what they can create and in turn you can create on your own. Good luck and keep us posted.

I am having a fairytale themed wedding. My colors are mauve/rose, royal blue, and silver. Their is a website link someone sent me that has these cute little carriage and castle candle lamp centerpieces. I will have to find it and post it on here. Alot of my stuff I have bought from ebay. They are really cheap on alot of things. I am having children at my wedding, because I love each and everyone of the children in my family. For my favors I am also including favors for the children. I am going to www.orientaltrading.com and buying little crowns and tiaras for them to wear. I bought a cardboard castle for www.shindigz.com for only like $20 or $25. It is about 7 feet high. Our other favors are these little ring for a kiss bells that I bought off eBay, candy bars with personalized wrappers, small organza bags filled with glitter to represent fairy dust, bookmarks with a poem called "Marriage Takes Three", and heart shaped cookies that have our name and dates on them. On the table we are going to put hershey kisses on them. We are going to either buy glass slippers or carriages to put mints inside. Out flower girl is sprinkling heart shaped confetti (our colors) instead of flower petals. Right before you have your 1st dance, you can have your FH place a shoe (you can buy some that look like glass slippers) on your foot and then have your dance. I have a wedding journal on here with all of my ideas and stuff on it. It is title Andrew and Natasha's Journal.
