Oops, I think i posted this in the wrong section before... (sorry, I'm new!) Anyway I'm totally into country music (especially new country music), and I think I'm going to try to put together a few cd's of our favorite country songs to play at the reception. I LOVE Keith Urban's new song "Once In a Lifetime Love"... also his "Baby, You're My Better Half". Kenny Chesney "You Save Me" and Craig Morgan's "I've Got You" are also front-runners... I'd love to hear other people's country song ideas!

Our first dance will be to "She's Everything" by Brad Paisley
And my father/daughter dance will be "I Loved her First" by Heartland.
We'll have a couple of our country favorites mixed into the evening. I'm a big country girl...he "tolerates" it. :-)

I'm thinking of "I Loved Her First" for the father/daughter dance as well. I love that song, and my dad does, too.

Im also a country girl, I know you said you like alot of new country but I know some 90's country is really good also. I know one song that we love is "Love Of My LIfe" by Sammy Kershaw. But moving into Newer Country, Alan Jackson has a great song out called "Womans Love". Dierks Bentley(my all time favorite) Also has some good songs, "Long Trip Alone" "Good Things Happen". You can look on http://www.lyricsearch.com and browse through the lyrics of these songs. I hope that helps some!

We are country fans also. I think we are doing "I loved her first" or Tim Mcgraws new song about his little girl (dont know the real name of it) for the father/daughter dance. We are also dancing with the kids to Rascal Flatts "My wish" (my favorites!!!!!).
Mona that is so sweet...I have always wanted to dance with my mom too....and thats a really great pick for the song!! I always thought about doing "Wind beneath my wings"....I have no idea what FH and his mom will dance too.
Oh and I think "our" song will be Broken road by RF, or Amazed...
