We got engaged on May 14th, 2004 and we set out wedding date as August 27th, 2005. We are the type of people who want to be prepared so we won't be caught out there at the last minute, even if we are a year away from the wedding date. So we decided to go ahead and do the little things that didn't cost money first. Which led to our color scheme. The colors went from periwinkle, silver, and white, to royal blue, silver, and white. Dale, my fiance didn't want periwinkle because he says it was too feminine. So then we went with royal blue (his favorite color). We thought we had it all figured out. Boy was I wrong. Couldn't have had it more twisted. We went to register at After Hours (tuxedo store) and when we sat down with our wedding consultant he told us that the only color as far as blue that they had were dark blue, desert blue, and indigo. We looked at the indigo, but that was too dark too. So we had to come up with another color scheme or go elsewhere and try to find the royal blue. Since we are paying for our own wedding and he gets his tuxedo for free and so does my father and the groomsmen gets $10 off their tux we decided that we would just change our color scheme. So we sat at the table and talked and talked and talked some more and went back and forth. So the decision we ***e upon was since we went with his favorite color and we couldn't get that we decided to go with my favorite color. RED!!!!! So now our colors are red, silver, and white. The color scheme is finally finalized. There will be no more changes. Now it's time to move on to something else.
