Nascar wedding

Hi we are big Nascar fans and planning a 3-8-08 wedding. (can you guess our favorite drivers?) I am looking for ideas on how to make centerpieces, invitations, well just about EVERYTHING. Can anyone help???

Omgosh that's a unique theme! What about matchbox nascar cars set on mirrors or small race tracks as centerpieces? Use the cars or numbers on the cake? Invitations? etc. Sorry I'm not much help, but there's SO much you can do just start writing a list of possible things. You could make nascar car shaped cookies for your favors, play some nascar music at the reception during cake cutting or something. Wow endless possibilities!

I agree with you guys on favorite drivers! My son's cake for his birthday last two yrs has been a Nascar cake. I attached a picture of what I men these are cake kits you can find a local Nascar store or on-line and everything you need is included. You could have both cakes and have them facing each other.

Invitations I'd do a DIY project and you can find some silohette pictures of Senior and Junion put them on each side of the invitation facing in towards each other put your invitation text in between them. Right now for Christmas you can get Nascar ribbon after Christmas this will be really cheap tie that on to top of invitation do half Senior and half Junior.

I attached a picture of a cool Nascar garter same could be done for less than the $40 it cost by buying one checkered or making it so with fabric paint and putting your favorite pin in the center as displayed.

For favors you could make cookies with a nascar cookie cutter and decorate with icing - these could probably be bought if you can't do them yourself.

Take two checkeres flags and punch a hole in them opposite each other and tie a bell in between then wrap handles with black & white ribbon - this will enhance the old bell ring tradition right into Nascar theme without being to childish.

Request reception site use clear plates if possible and buy or make placemats in a not loud color but Nascar themed. Walmart has Nascar fabric for a few bucks a yard.

For centerpieces you can find Nascar gift bags especially now for christmas and find color corrdinating flower bunch silk at a craft store as Red and Black are easy find now AC Moore has 50% of holiday flowers. Place a piece of dry floral foam in the bags then place floral bunchs into the foam if it needs more weight to it fill bottom of bag to equal with foam with glass beads from Walmart $1. Go to $1 store and buy candle stands for ****rs put four out around bag. WWW.NASCAR.COM you can download track maps I'd blow these up and place in the center under above idea with those items in the infield. Use a different track map for each table - Using transfer paper could be transfered onto fabric if prefer.

Make N Mold also has several candy molds for Nascar for lolipops and etc. You'll find all this out in force for Valentine's Day A popular kids theme and you might be able to get Nascar themed cellaphone bags to use for favors.

If you've been to alot of NASCAR events and have pictures you can put together a CD and either use as a favor or play during reception. We chase the ciruit on the east coast so I've been to a ton of tracks and have a bunch of pictures of each one like Watkins Glen which is one of only two street coarse (they turn both right and left during the raceinstead of just left).

I've done this a few times if you can't tell...lol Let me know if you need help with anything I mentioned.

There are alot of easy DIY projects you can do for a NASCAR themed wedding that won't make it seem like you are at child's birthday party. Have fun with it fun theme.
