Hi everyone! How are you doing??

I am having the hardest time trying to think of cute ideas for table centerpieces. My theme is love/hearts/romance (Since Gary and I have been dating for almost 8 years when we get married). My color is purple. I don’t want normal flowers. I want something different that will help set the mood. I have purchased votive lavender scented candles from Ebay to help with setting the mood. I wanted to do mini versions of our wedding cake, but everyone is completely against it, even Gary. I need something that is not too pricey and if possible, I could do myself. I have 24 round tables and 2 very long rectangle tables. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? I am really open to any suggestions.

You could use birch branches or other tree branches that are in your area. You will need something steardy. Glue crystals on them and hang heart ornaments from them. You will need large vases to do this. Fill the vases with crystals in your wedding colors and surround them with the candles and a few petals. You could also use flowers placed in round or square stryofoam balls, string them with ribbon of your wedding colors and either hang them from the branches or candlebras (sp).

Another idea, is to get 2 cake plates (crystal). Stack them on top of each other. Next secure some type of greenary so that it is cascading over the edge. If your favors are wrapped, you can place them there like a cake or you can use ornaments, grapes, candles or what ever you like on top of them.

Hope this helps.

Our escort-card hedge is as charming as a perfectly manicured topiary—and a lot more functional! We created it by pasting green lemon leaves to a foam ball and interspersing white escort cards. Table-runner fabric from Waverly, waverly.com.

For this type of monochromatic arrangement to look good, it is important to get the shape right. Here we have a created a 'dome-shape' that has this profile when viewed from all sides. Without the shape, this type of arrangement can lose its impact.

you can do this in your wedding colors.
