Hi everyone, i am new to this site. I just started planning my wedding that is 17 months away. I have already booked the church and the decorator. I decided on Red, Pink, & Cream roses for a "theme" Can roses be a theme? And what about this color combination, do you think it is too much? Someone please help! What other rose theme ideas do you have? Thanks in advance for your help, I need it!

I am using the same colors in roses as well. I dont really have a theme unless that is what you call it.....I am using a deep red, medium pink and cream roses. with very little greenery. I am doing all hand tied bouquets...and up until this week I had planned on using silk flowers from Wedideas.com...but then I priced real roses at Sams and realized it is going to cost at least $100 less...so I am using real ones instead. My girls are wearing the pink(dusty rose) and the guys will wear the red(wine). I am using square vases with about 12 roses in each vase for centerpieces, with 3 or 4 candles also....and I havent really decided now that I changed to real roses, but I will probably use fake petals for the isle and tables....I will probably wind up going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and finding some silk garland and roses for the food table and such.....

Congratulations and welcome.Another rose theme!I love it.I too am using different shades of red w/cream(and also apple green).Roses can defiantly be a theme and or the mane flower. It's very romantic and classic in my opinion.Go type in rose weddings or go to the wedding channel site and the knot-also get some home and garden mags and just start gathering ideals.I would also print out my finds and or tare out any pictures I liked and place them in a folder.
