Hey all,
My fiance and I hope to go to Ireland for our honeymoon. Neither of us has ever been there and we would really like some suggestions from anyone who may have recommendations on places to go or things to see. We are financing our own honeymoon, so we are looking for reasonably priced hotels, and activities. He would really love to stay in a castle, so perhaps we can work that in for a night or two. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Lyss :)

Just got back yesterday from Ireland. It is absolutely amazing. I would have to say that the most beautiful place I have ever seen is Adare Manor. Although it is not cheap, maybe you can make an exception for one night. The website is http://www.adaremanor.com/ WOW!! Have a great time in Ireland!!

in ireland there are so many options. you could go city, country, farm, mountains, beach, all on one little island and all in a few hours drive. i must suggest galway bay though, and killarney. galway bay is like a little port town with cobblestone streets in some places and little shops. killarney is more of a party town with street vendors and carnivals. i wouldn't do much in dublin, it's just a clean ny. that's my $.02

I am happy for you and glad that you all chose to go there instead of doing the usual cruise for your honeymoon. I would suggest that you find a good travel agent to help direct and inform you of good places to go in Ireland. Our travel agent was most helpful because she had actually traveled to Europe (where we are going in September) and since we didnt have a lot of time to book hotels, etc she did that for us....
