I am intending to encorporate the undersea castle from Little Mermaid into my wedding cake. I got the idea from DisneyWorld weddings, how they make the Cinderella Castle and edible part of the cake. I was wondering if I should find a baker who can make an edible castle, or try to just make or buy a decorative one. Yes, I know and edible castle would be expencive, I was just wondering what your opinions are on edible decorations.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the castle, I'll post a few photos.

Hey,

I like edible decorations, but if it was my wedding, I'd want to keep the castle as a memento. And yes, price does affect my decision on that, it would be cheaper to make the castle than to have to be edible.

Can you have the castle made as your 1yr annerversiry cake top?

The castle won't be the top of the cake and I wasn't really planning on doing the cake preservation thing.

Oh ok, I guess if it were me, I would want to keep it after the wedding, maybe something for your daughters room, if kiids are in the future. But at the same time, an edible one would be really cool. Ok not much help am I LOL.

Lol, well, I got to thinking about it recently. I wanted it to be edible in the first place, but I'll probably not be able to afford it. And on top of that, I really want to have like a curio cabinet with all my wedding stuff on display and the castle would be a nice addition.

And no, we won't be having any kids ^_^
