Not too long ago I posted asking for ideas for a fall themed wedding..
Well, I'm going to go ahead and do a fall theme.. Since it's in the middle of November, I'm betting there is going to be *some* snow.
I've looked through a couple of the posts, but I was wondering if anyone had any more ideas or pictures for a winter wonderland wedding... No christmas though please

I would suggest using a lot of lace and shades of ice-blue. Maybe some mood-lighting in soft blue. Centerpieces that look like icicles. That's the best way I can think of winter theme without being xmas-y. However, with the vibrancy of fall tones and colours I would suggest using it very subtly. Maybe some organza or lace bunched around the cake to look like snow with a soft blue spotlight shining down from above it. Faux-fur trim on the bridal or bridal party apparel. Faux-fur stoles with pale blue tie ribbon.

I'm thinking lots of snowflakes and icicles (the dollar tree actually had some gorgeous ones that ive already picked up)

Anyone think November 16th is too early for a winter theme?

Not at all, In Vermont we have snow. It is never to early for a winter theme. :) Icicles would be gorgeous with some light around them to twinkle.

I think the winter theme is fine! I am getting married in the beginning of March and am using iced brances in frosted vases with mirrors and votives for centerpieces (read: really inexpensive) and dogwood trees I spray painted a sparkly silver to put aound the reception area with white lights. I was just at the dollar store last nite and they have some really cute snowflakes and icicles.....

Hey,

Cobalt blue is not too dark of a color to use, I bet it would look great paired with an icy blue, creams, whites, etc. I like the winter wonderland theme, very pretty!
