ice cream cake

i think that the traditional wedding cake is great, but no one ever really likes the frosting. i was getting the crazy idea of having just an ice cream cake like from baskin robins or something. how would i have that "displayed and stored" if i were to do so? any ideas or suggestions? :)

I thought about doing that, i'm allergic to eggs and can't eat most cakes. But then i didn't know where i would store it. I'm not much help, but i love the idea.

i saw that you can rent a refrigerated marble slab it will keep it cold.

I would definitely talk to your reception hall & let them know your allergy to eggs & see if they can accodomate the storage of the cake.
