I am a 42 yo "bride" and we are having a formal wedding. This is a 2nd for both. But being a "grown-up" haha! I felt that I needed something a bit more sophisticated than what I was finding. Not to mention, I wasn't going to pay a fortune either since my FH and I were paying for the wedding! My solution was to shop consignment shops, thrift stores, resale stores.....and ofcourse the bridal stores. I discovered one bridal shop that was in my area (New Orleans), it was a rather small shop but I went in anyway. I really went in thinking I wouldn't find anything affordable. Ofcourse the first thing I see is a huge CLEARANCE sign in the back of the shop and it immediately got my attention. I searched threw the dresses and picked out 5 that were in my size. All of them were gorgeous! Some looked like Cinderella, some looked like Mother of the bride type.......and the last one looked like something that wasn't for me. It was a halter type dress, with a mermaid bottom. I tried it on anyway..........guess what???? It was ME!!! I knew instantly it was for me! The price tag said it was $1,025. but it was on sale for $99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I left with the dress!
