butter cream recipe
Butter Cream Icing

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter or margarine**
1 tsp. clear vanilla
2 tbsp. milk or water
4 cups confectioner sugar (app.)

Cream butter and shortening with electric mixer and add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating well at medium speed. Scrape sides of bowl often. Add milk or water and beat on medium until light and fluffy. For best results, keep in refrigerator when not in use. Rewhip before using. Yield: 3 cups

**In high humidity areas - reduce shortening amount by 1/5 and use same amount of Mr. Chips (or Paramount Crystals) in it's place. Melt the Mr. Chips and add to mixed icing. This clear and tasteless ingredient repels moisture in butter cream. It will keep your icing beautifully white, dry, and workable.

our theme is "Our love is Anchor forever" Maybe with the bubbles and a few anchors on it would be nice. I've designed our invites with anchors and hearts on them.
